Author s : Iagăru, N. Abstract: Juvenile idiopathic arthritis JIA shares artrita sistemica same clinical and pathological features with rheumatoid arthritis RA în adults. Both are autoimmune diseases characterized by destructive arthropaty and by complex genetic traits, auto antibodies and cytokine profile în affected tissues.
The outcome is also quite different.
Although both diseases have an increased frequency of family history of other autoimmune diseases, patients with RA have a stronger family history of RP.
